40 COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT HOURS REQUIRED TO GRADUATE!

To graduate in Ontario, all students must complete 40 hours of Community Involvement to earn their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). We are encouraging students to complete these as early as possible in their high school career.  Students may begin completing their Community Service Hours beginning July 1^st in the summer before they enter grade 9.

There are a few changes we want you to know about:

1) There is a new form that all students use to submit their hours. It is available at www.hwdsb.on.ca/cih.

2) Students do not need to complete all 40 hours before they are submitted. Students can hand them in as they go to the Student Services office in their school.
