A brilliant and energetic team of high school students from Sir John A. MacDonald and Westmount High Schools have come together to create GHGT’s first Robotics Club. This initiative is supervised in collaboration between teachers Ms. T. Passfield and Mr. J. Bajkor of SJAM, as well as the GHGT Engineering team.
As a team, students will showcase their innovation using electronic waste and other materials to create a new and innovative robotic technology . The will be competing at Innovation Nation, a robotics competition and conference taking place at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario on July 9-10, 2012. The Robotics Competition will give students an opportunity to network with industry experts, scientists, engineers and academics.
Good luck to the SJAM students who have already started working hard in the Green Tech lab! Their accomplishments thus far are impressive and their commitment and dedication to this project are inspiring. More updates on the team’s progress to come!
