Adult Day School

We offer an Adult Day School Program that will help you upgrade a mark, obtain credits for College or University or to complete your High School Diploma.  This program is offered to Adult Learners, ages 18 and older who are not registered with a Secondary School and have achieved at least 16 credits.

The Adult Day School program provides a structured and disciplined learning environment, using the OSS curriculum.  Adult Credit courses are offered during the day only. All credit courses are 90-110 hours of study as per Ministry of Education guidelines.

If you are working toward graduation, please connect first with the ASSESSMENT CENTRE and schedule a credit assessment to determine which credits you’ll require to graduate.  You can reach the Assessment Centre by calling 905-521-2554.

We offer two types of Adult Day School Programs:

KING WILLIAM LEARNING CENTRE: The program operates in 13 week sessions Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. College and Workplace courses are offered in a teacher taught setting.  See course list:

King William – ADS Course List Revised October 2012

RED HILL LEARNING CENTRE: Courses are offered in six week sessions on a full or part time basis. Students take one course in the morning (9:00 am-12:15 pm) and/or afternoon (12:45-4:00 pm). Classes are teacher facilitated. College and university courses are available.   See course list:

For many students, one or two full successful sessions (8 senior credits) at King William Learning Centre  or two to four sessions at the Red Hill Learning Centre (4 – 8 senior credits) will fulfill the requirements for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).  Adults who require one or two additional credits to graduate, can participate in Red Hill Adult Day School program or earn them through our Independent Study Program.

WHAT TO BRING TO THE INTAKE MEETING – If you are not a High School graduate, require fewer than 4 credits to graduate and have not been assessed, you will need to bring your High School transcript to your Intake Meeting.  All students are required to provide proof of their status in Canada (ex. Students must be assessed or obtain their Ontario Student Transcript prior to their intake day.
